This Privacy Policy applies to our website, our mobile and desktop applications (including Verbal Lens and DocCam), our macOS software utilities, and our indie video games (including Hanukkah Hero and Rudolph's Revenge), published through the Apple App Store, Mac App Store, or our direct digital channels.

This document is designed to satisfy Apple App Store Review Guidelines (specifically Guideline 5.1.1 on Data Collection and Storage) as well as applicable global privacy frameworks such as the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA).

We limit data collection to the minimum required to operate our software, respond to inquiries, and troubleshoot technical faults.

A. Information You Voluntarily Provide

When you contact us through our website contact form, community feedback channels, or direct email, you may choose to provide:

B. Local Gameplay and Device Storage

Our games store gameplay progress, levels completed, settings, audio preferences, and high scores locally on your device. This data remains on your hardware and is not transmitted to external private databases managed by Aaron Software LLC.

C. Aggregate Diagnostics and Crash Reports

If you have opted in to share diagnostics and usage data with Apple in your device settings, we may receive anonymized crash logs and basic device telemetry (such as device model, OS version, and crash stack traces) via Apple Xcode Organizer and App Store Connect. This data is aggregated and does not identify you personally.

D. Verbal Lens & DocCam 100% On-Device Operations

Our iOS and iPadOS productivity tools are engineered with a strict privacy-first architecture using native Apple frameworks:

• Verbal Lens (Vision & Translation): Live camera frames are processed ephemerally in device memory solely to detect text and display translations. Video feeds and scanned documents are never streamed, stored on external servers, or transmitted off your device. CoreMotion sensor data and custom Travel Journal entries (including notes and optional GPS stamps) stay 100% inside your local device sandbox.
• DocCam (Live Camera & Presentation): Live camera feeds, Apple Pencil markup, teaching grid overlays, and Live Text OCR run entirely on your iPad/iPhone. Video is streamed strictly over local Apple AirPlay directly to your display target (e.g., Apple TV or Mac) with zero intermediary cloud routing. Screen recordings and captured snapshots are stored directly in your local Photos library or Files sandbox.
• Text-to-Speech & Speech Synthesis: Audio read-aloud functionality in both apps operates entirely on-device with zero internet connection required.

In strict accordance with Apple's App Privacy Nutrition Label requirements, we state unequivocally:

• No Advertising Identifiers: We do not include third party advertising SDKs, ad banners, or data broker libraries in our software.
• No Remote Location Tracking: We never transmit, harvest, or store your GPS coordinates on external servers. (Any location tags in Verbal Lens travel notes exist solely on your local device).
• No Financial or Payment Data: Any purchase of our apps, unlock tiers, or games is processed directly through Apple's secure App Store in-app purchase system. We never see or store your payment details.
• No Cloud Media Ingestion: We do not upload your camera feed, microphone audio, translated documents, or personal photos to remote cloud servers.

Our games may integrate standard Apple framework features designed to improve your gaming experience:

• Game Center: If you choose to sign in to Apple Game Center, your achievements, leaderboards, and multiplayer matchmaking are managed entirely by Apple pursuant to Apple's Privacy Policy. We do not store your Game Center credentials.
• iCloud Sync: If game save synchronization across Apple devices is enabled, game save state files are synchronized via your private Apple iCloud container. Aaron Software LLC has no access to your personal iCloud storage or files.

Protecting the privacy of young players is of paramount importance to us. Games like Hanukkah Hero are family friendly titles created for players of all ages.

• We do not knowingly collect personal identifiable information from children under the age of 13 (or under the applicable age of digital consent in your jurisdiction).
• Our games do not contain behavioral advertising, social media tracking links, or open public chat rooms directed to children.
• If a parent or legal guardian believes that their child has submitted personal details through our contact form without parental consent, please contact us immediately. We will promptly remove the information from our records.

Any information received by Aaron Software LLC is used solely for the following legitimate purposes:

• Customer Support: To answer your inquiries, assist with technical troubleshooting, and review game suggestions.
• Game Development: To resolve software bugs, optimize frame rates, and improve game stability using anonymous diagnostic logs.
• Security and Integrity: To protect our website and systems against unauthorized access, spam, or malicious attacks.

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to third parties.

We do not share your information except under the following narrow circumstances:

• Infrastructure Providers: We use secure, self-hosted automation infrastructure (such as our n8n automation webhook on aaronsoftware.com) strictly to transmit your contact messages to our internal inbox. Our providers are bound by confidentiality and security obligations.
• Legal Requirements: We may disclose information if required to do so by lawful court order, subpoena, or applicable statutory law.

We employ industry standard Transport Layer Security (TLS/HTTPS) encryption to protect information sent through our website and services.

We retain support correspondence only as long as necessary to resolve your request and maintain customer service records. We do not maintain perpetual marketing databases.
